Scope

The following map depicts the inland navigation network on which the CDNI is applicable.
 
It distinguishes between the areas in which all of the Convention’ s provisions are applicable and those for which only Parts B and C of the CDNI are applicable. As a reminder, the provisions of the CDNI apply to oily and greasy waste (Part A), to cargo waste (Part B) and to other waste (Part C).
 
In particular there is the specific case of the scope in France, for which you will find more information here.
 
Please note that the CDNI is applicable on all waterways accessible for inland navigation in Belgium and in the Netherlands. Nevertheless, this level of detail could not be depicted in the following map. It only depicts the major inland waterway transport axes where the CDNI is applicable in these two countries.
